MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently benefit from a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a number of little services in Cornwall presently earn money from used cooking oil".
He added: "In order to be able to get this kind of industry going it does need simply a bit of lift which can be found in the kind of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a blend of traditional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
