If you've already tried investigating and researching the issue on your own and keep running into walls, feel free to reach out to the decomp community!
DON'T OPEN A GITHUB ISSUE!!! Instead, ask on the pret Discord.
Please oh please be specific and ask a detailed question. Questions are most easily answered when they are well-described and understandable. The guidelines below can help structure a question.
* State your goal! What do you want to have done to the game?
* Describe your attempt and the issue you're facing
Remember you're here to learn! By stating your end-goal, a knowledgeable or experienced person that sees it may even be able to offer an easier, safer solution that appeals to you more than your current attempt. Be polite and receptive, as any responses you get will require personal time and effort on the other person's part.
This is all done for the love of pokemon-editing! We all have to start somewhere and being part of the decomp community helps spread the joy and reduce the headaches.
